Scientific Committee

Mission of the Scientific Committee

 

The Scientific Committee is responsible for coordinating the research done by a network of over 300 specialists from around the world working on every geographical area and four main periods (Antiquity, the Middle Ages, Early Modern, to 1789, and Contemporary History) as well as on the necessary transversal issues: offshore, maritime routes, piracy, etc

The Scientific Committee is chaired by Professor Christian Buchet, director of the Centre d’Etudes de la Mer at the Catholic Institute in Paris and member of the Académie de Marine.
