Malcolm TULL, nouveau membre du Comité d’Honneur

28 Oct 16

Malcolm Tull, président de l'International Maritime History Association

"I was honoured to be invited to join the Océanides Committee of Honour because Océanides is a unique and prestigious international project which aims to highlight the political, economic and social significance of the world’s oceans and waterways and overcome the fragmentation of scholarly research in maritime history. This coincides with the vision of the International Maritime History Association (IMHA), of which I am currently President, which is to promote maritime history globally and facilitate collaboration between maritime researchers. In order to fulfil its mission the IMHA undertakes a range of activities including publishing an international, peer-review journal, the International Journal of Maritime History, and a newsletter on maritime history; every four years IMHA runs an international congress of maritime history. The last conference was held at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia, in late June 2016. I hope to facilitate future collaboration and links between Océanides and the IMHA."
